With the weather being so unpredictable, we’ve got a variety of ideas of how you could spend your week…pick and choose according to what’s going on outside!
If it’s dry, and you want to get outside, you could visit:
The beach!
Southwold has fantastic ice cream, Aldeburgh has amazing fish & chips, and Felixstowe has fun arcades on the pier next to the Leisure Centre, and they’re all between 45 and 60 minutes from here.
Crazy Golf!
Adventure Golf and Congo Rapids Lost World both offer 18 holes of crazy golf entertainment!
Animals!
Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park has a wonderful range of animals to see, including polar bears and their most recent additions of a lion and tigers! As well as animals, there are some great play areas with a bouncy pillow and a woodland to build dens in.
Easton Farm Park is planning to 'Go Wild' for half term with baby animals to be cuddled, crafts and rides as well as indoor and outdoor play areas.
Woodland walks!
Thornham Walks is only 15 minutes away with a park, a short looped walk and a lovely little café.
High Lodge at Thetford Forest is slightly further away but has a wide range of activities to choose from, catering for all ages and adventure needs!
Rendlesham Forest is another lovely forest worth exploring.
If, however, the weather isn’t so great, then here are some indoor options:
Crafting
Coffee, Craft ‘N’ Moore in Needham Market offers a variety of craft options and Purple Pumpkin Studio in Halesworth have some lovely pottery to paint…a perfect way to spend a rainy morning or afternoon!
Make a splash!
Stradbroke Swimming Pool is less than 10 minutes away and offers several family swimming sessions throughout the week, including inflatables on Monday and Wednesday afternoons!
Bowling and Cinema
Towns such as Ipswich, Bury St. Edmunds and Norwich all have bowling alleys and cinemas to choose from, giving you more rainy-day options.
Whatever the weather, however you choose to spend your half term, we hope you have lots of fun!
