Things to do in May half term

Half term isn’t far away now, and as usual we are almost full for the week. We like to give our guests ideas of events which might be taking place during their stay, so here are some exciting things to take part in.

Suffolk Show

 

On Wednesday 29thand Thursday 30thMay the Suffolk Show takes place at Trinity Park in Ipswich.This is a fun day out for all of the family where you can see a lot of Suffolks’ finest foods, animals and businesses. There will be lots of shows to watch and stalls to explore. This will be a fun day out for the whole family. 

 

Hands on with History

 

From 25thMay- 2ndJune, Framlingham Castle are doing some exciting days about Robin Hood. They will be bringing the tale of Robin Hood to life with interactive storytelling sessions which will feature sword fighting and archery. Your child will be able to go to battle against the Sheriff of Nottingham or compete against Robin Hood himself. There will also be juggling or stilt walking to learn. This is sure to be an exciting day out.

 

Slime-tastic

 

Our friends at Just Add Kids are holding more slime workshops over half term. One being just a short drive away in the market town of Eye. This is taking place on Thursday 30thMay in the Bank Arts Centre in Eye. Sessions starting at 10.30am or 11.30am.

 

Beer and Gin Festival

 

For those adults visiting us, there is a been and gin festival at a local fine dining hotel. This is taking place on Saturday 25thMay and Sunday 26thMay. Tickets can be purchased in advance from The Oaksmere website. It’s set to be a great event!
