With Half Term just around the corner, we are sitting here in the sunshine reflecting on everything we’ve enjoyed so far. Earlier this month, in celebration of King Charles’ Coronation, displayed were 50 large wooden crowns within our little village.
Following the Corgi success, for the Jubilee Celebrations our Local Church put together another stunning event! Crowns Fit for a Coronation, at Athelington Church, just at the bottom of our driveway. Families and friends handcrafted their designs, aswell as organised a lovely breakfast (fit for a King!) and prize raffle.
It’s still so lovely to see many of the local villages and towns displaying flags and bunting for the special occasion.
Soon we welcome the third and final Bank Holiday of May, alongside Half Term, which is very exciting! Let’s hope the weather stays nice, allowing us to adventure outdoors and make the most of this quality time.
We still have some last-minute cabins available, if you fancied treating yourselves to a relaxing staycation. And whilst you’re here, check out our ‘Things to Do’ section on our website, which lists days outs, castles, cycling, walks, broads and beaches, restaurants and takeways. Plenty of great ideas for you all.
We hope you enjoy the rest of May.
